Cool Tech questions

Newbie to the world of Road Glides,

Finally decided that I needed a more comfy ride!
I recently purchased a 2013 FLTRXSE2, (too go a deal to pass up).
Needing to do some mods to fit me (6'4" 280) and have a couple of questions.
Without changing out the wiring and cables, what are the tallest bars that could be put on??
Also, love the bike but cannot keep the fuse for the rear amp working. I have the AVC off but still cannot keep from blowing the fuse for the bag speakers, any ideas?
Any advice is appreciated!

thanks,

Kowboy,

12" is about as high as you can go .. Mine are 12" and I know I'd have to change things out with fourteens ..

It all depends on the width of the bars but like Jack stated 12" will go on comfortably but most brand of bars you can go 14". You may have to re-route the hydraulic clutch line though. I had a 12 CVO and the clutch line was pretty tight with 13" bars.

Like those above have mentioned, 12" comfortable, 14" depending on the bends.
As far as your fuse blowing, bad amp or broken hot wire grounding out..

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

If I have to explain ,you wouldn't under stand anyway.

Welcome, from New York, to The Greatest Forum on The Internet!
Congrats on the CVO.
As far as the amp goes I would definitely check the positive wire going to it for a short.
It's possible the sheathing wore through causing it to short out and blow the fuse.
Best of Luck.
