Welcome to the tank from north Florida!

I'm looking to upgrade the bars on my 2020 as well. At 6' I keep thinking 12" because I don't want them too high, but everyone tells me to 'pick your bars and go 2" higher.' I've heard the ideal height is hands level to your shoulders while riding, but that is all subjective and personal.

Welcome from Colorful Colorado :)

See if your dealer has some bikes set up with higher bars for you to try out. One of my local dealers had a set up where you could place the bars on the bike to try out.

I originally had 13" apes and I wished I would have went with 16" apes.

I sold the 13" apes and installed 16" apes with steel lines.

For me the 16" apes are spot on perfect.

Everyone is different on what they like but i'm sure 14" apes would be perfect for you.

Good Luck

Welcome, from New York, to The Greatest Forum on The Internet!
Congrats on The New Glide.
As was stated previously go to your local Dealer or Bike Night to check out the different size bars.
Most people that go 12 wish the went with 14’s.
Best of Luck.

Welcome to the tank, from Idaho!

I am 6'3" and have 12s on my '15 RGS. I wish I had 14s but the 12s are just fine.

Congrats and welcome.

I'm 6' and had 12's but was unhappy. Went with 16's from JSR with new lines, now I'm happy.

Welcome to the forum from NE Ohio.

I'm 5'10" and went with the 12s on my 16 RGS. But went with the 14s on my 19 Freewheeler but will stick with 12s on my 19 RGS. My seat is the low profile solo seat so with the about 2" down and back makes the 12s like they were 14s with a stock seat if ya get my meaning.

Hi guy been hanging around in here for a long while now but I have the factory 47s on my 15 RGS and I love them. If you go with the 14 or 12s you dont need to replace any cables so that cuts the cost down and with as high as factory 47 are. It to me would be a no brainer. I know that in oklahoma if your hands are above the shoulders they are illegal have never ever seen someone pulled over for higher ones. But I ain't givin them any excuses. I have the 12s and I am 5'-8". Just my two cents.
