New to the forum. Just traded a 2009 FLSTC on this one. What a difference! The Twin Cam 96 had a little noise in the valve train. I’m noticing a tick in the valve train on the 107. The motor only has 200 miles in it now. Is this normal?
Welcome to the forum...not too sure as they do sound different and after break in, some noises went away and others popped up...louder pipes fixed that...kidding...sort of.
Congrats and welcome! On my 4th twin cam now and great motors but normal to have a bit of mechanical noises. I only test rode an M8 and it has much less noises but you may want to find out more from one of the owners who are more familiar with the M8. Some issues that a few owners on forum are having, you may want to keep an eye out on tranny dipstick level just in case
Thanks for the replies. Have less than 200 miles on it and have been trying to follow the break in protocol per the MoCo. It might be normal...who knows?
