Is it 1 3/8 ???

not sure on the size, but i think it would require a speciality socket with the rounded corners. I use a 10 or 12 inch adjustable wrench to take them off.

I have used the 36mm rear axle nut wrench to get them off. I think a 35mm would fit perfectly but the 36mm with a wrap of black tape around the nut works perfect.
