Preload on mono tubes

Since I let HD do my install, I was wondering if it is possible to add a preload c clip to the fork easily?

I was waiting for someone with more experience to chime in on this. I just installed 2 sets of monotubes this winter on a couple of roadglides. One of the bikes (mine) i was wishing I would have installed an extra C-clip. I don't think there is an "easy" way to do it. Pretty much have to tear the whole thing back apart. Not a huge job but not a quick fix.

By not enough I mean none. The instructions say to leave them out for a -2" ride height and then towards the end they say to add them in is needed. After riding my bike they are definitely needed. I will try to document it as best as possible though.

So are you saying that with the 2" drop the fender is going to bottom out against the bolt holding the crash bar? I have mine set at 2" drop and haven't bottomed out yet but it does look quite low.

Sorry guys it turned out that I only needed to tighten the top cap of the monotube to the fork leg and not tear it down to add preload clips.
