Visit 98c Compressor bracket

Starts out with a 3/16 thick plate with four mounting holes drilled in it

Then a second plate is broke at the same angle of the saddle bag support bracket

Then they are welded together using the bracket as a jig for proper fit and alignment

A two piece split collar is welded to the top for the upper support

Then we drill out the lower 5/16 thru hole and finish weld it out

The last step to this is machining the top of the two piece split collar for saddlebag clearance.

Now for the compressor to fit in this location and on this bracket it has to be modified. To do this you have to trim the ears off of it and drill new mounting holes in the viair bracket. It is important to keep everything square and straight when drilling the holes.

Ears removed. Now you will use the bracket as a template to locate the new holes and drill them out. Pretty easy and straight forward

Drill one hole out and install bolt and nut to hold it while you drill out the remaining holes.
