Progressive monotube dissatisfaction !!!!

Ive read all the great reviews here and elsewhere but my review is completely opposite. Installed stock height. Stock front wheel. Bottoms out upon apron entry. Hard braking dives hard. Not that stable. Potholes- forget it !!! Anyway goin with traxxion dynamics

Doesn't sound like its installed correctly. Just sayin. That shouldn't be happening.

Sounds like you got a defective kit, or maybe installed it improperly, no way should you have the problems you are, sounds worse than stock.

There were some defective ones mentioned when I investigated it. I believe if you send them to progressive they will replace them.

I agree. Mine don't even come close to acting the way you are describing. The nose on the bike should only go down a very little when the brakes are applied aggressively.

Gotta be either a defect, or improper installation. I suspect that if you contact the P-S tech folks. they will straighten it out.

Got 'em on an '01 RG. Makes my '11 FLTRUSE suspension feel like a POS. Wait, it is!!

I be lovin' the mono-tubes. Can't think what could be wrong though. Have you gone back through all the torques?

Didn't forget to tighten the pinch bolts did you? I guess you'd be dead. Nevermind!

Good Luck.

I installed a set of Progressive monotubes in my 98 RG and boy what and improvement over the old tired sloppy front suspension. Thought they were great, definitely improve the handling though The ride got a lot stiffer. I installed the two C clips per shock tube, planing to dismantle the front suspensions this winter to remove one set of the C clips (would really prefer more of a touring ride than a sport ride).

I was once a pack animal too...
