Removing forks from Tree's

I can't seem to get my fork legs to come free from the tree's.

I removed the top cap bolts from the forks.. And loosened up the pinch bolts.. Moved the fork pucks up the legs.. And sprayed cleaner on the legs.. Can't get them to even budge.

I've watched Norsemans great vid.. And also followed manual step by step.

Anybody have any ideas???

Try putting the cap bolts back on and tightening them with the pinch bolts loose... once tight the tubes should turn in the tree- hopefully loosen things up for ya. You can even put a few washers between the cap and the cap bolts before tightening if ya have to...

If the tubes are real stubborn you can snug up the pinch bolts then put the front wheel on. With the front wheel on and the wheel on the floor you can loosen the pinch bolts and jack up the front end slowly, the weight of the front wheel should pull the fork tube loose. Once the fork tube move snug up the pinch bolts and jack up the bike and take the front wheel back off. If the tubes don't move when you jack up the front end you can leave the tire about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the floor and wiggle the front end and it should move.

Try WD40 on triple tree where slide tube sets. If can pull it may try tapping on round bar or pin punch down the top bolt or cap.
If you damage the slide tube top nut assembly have my OEM setting around after going to monotubes PM if need them just pay shipping.

Thanks guys... I have one side out.. I used a ton of WD40.. Loosened the pinch bolt all the way.. Threaded the top cap in halfway.. And then used a rubber mallet.. medium to heavy taps on top of cap.. Then used the plastic end of a screwdriver to finish it out.. Threads seem fine so I'm guessing no damage done.

10 Years in the Desert Sun caked these babies on.

Well, back to work on the other side... thanks again.
