Progressive Monotube question

I had monotubes in my bike during a front end collision that bent the fork tubes. It looks like the gas shock portion is straight and undamaged but the rod that extends from the shock has shifted where it is connected to the shock rod causing the assembly to look bent. It appears that it may just be a press fit or glued based on how it moved. I'm thinking that if I can straighten this attachment point that they will be fine. It seems to me that this joint is always in compression after it is installed. Does anyone know how this is attached or have any experience straightening a monotube? Let me know your ideas. THX

Monotubes are relatively cheap. I would replace and not take the chance.

Enjoy the Ride!

You could call Progressive - their customer service has always been very helpful for me.........Personally - I'm with dnschmpn..........I'd be replacing them. $300.00 in the scheme of things is a droip in the bucket to ensure your saftey...JMO......
