MotorcycleMetal & Traxxion Dynamics

Late last year after deciding not to purchase a 2015 CVO I new it was time to upgrade my suspension which was the only thing I was unhappy with on my 2011.
Of course I have read thousands of reviews from members on their suspension mods and that's what makes this a great forum.
One thing that backed up my purchases was the fact that I never found one review of the products I chose where the person was unhappy or saw them forsale because of that reason.
And of course I chose about the most expensive upgrades and really only complaint was from my wife about the cost. Would I do it again? Heck Yeah

Lets start in the back Howard at Motorcycle Metal is a wealth of information sometimes even above my IQ but he will take the time to explain everything to you no matter what it takes. The Ohlin 6 dramatically improved the ride and I was impressed how much my wife even commented on the difference that she noticed.
The biggest improvement to me was the way it changed the handling in long sweeping turns. There is no more rear steer, no more wobble. no more bounce, and it doesn't wander thru the curves

On to the front and Dan at Traxxion Dynamcis is another great guy like Howard that will go out of his way to explain anything to you no matter how much time it takes. One of the reasons I chose the AK 20 cartridges is they are produced in house and are adjustable.
The AK 20s eliminated that terrible nose dive that Harley seemed to be so proud of for so many years. When you just stood the bike up off the side stand you could watch the front end drop an inch or more. You could see the front end drop as you were starting to make a turn, and don't even think about touching the front brake in the gravel or turning out of a downhill parking lot.

Im not here to bash any other products but to say Im super happy with my choices and vendors. The combination of the two make my bike feel more like it handles like a much lighter sportier bike.

I don't feel at my age I will ever be in the market for another bike because I don't think you could improve much on my suspension upgrades. So if you want what I feel is the best look at these two products.

Have you ever ridden the progressive monotypes? How does the traxxion compare?

I rode a friends 2 years ago that had the progressive monotubes and in my opinion the Ak 20s are better. The AK 20s seemed to absorb the imperfections in the road whereas the monotubes seemed harsher and transferred it thru the handlebars.

When I looked at doing the front end of my 2013, the price for Traxxion was $1,000. I too wonder if it is worth 4 times more than the Monotones...

I went with the Monotones and have been very happy.

Enjoy the Ride!

What about the Ohlins cartridges? Seems like that would be a matched set up with the ohlins on the rear. Just wondering what made you go to the others instead. I'm trying to learn what I can because this will be my next performance upgrade.
