posting this here as i think its where most peeps encounter the ignition alignment issues. mods feel free to move.
i'm considering swapping forklegs for chrome ones on my 2015 RGS, tried getting the alignment tool which for the 2014-2015 is different than the '09-'13s, interesting and enlighting conversation with Marc Parnes, super nice guy!! BTW Kutter Harley has one listed for $109!! Way too much for a guy like me that'll probably use it once!
So what if I remove the switch/knob at fork lock as per svc. manual; remove the nacelle, reinstall the switch/knob, free the forks, do the job, return to fork lock, remove knob, reinstall nacelle and knob as per svc.manual ...wheewww, tired already ..8)
this method should ensure everything remains in alignment thru the forkleg swap.
what do u guys think? any issues i missed with doing it this way?
