Help!! Progressive Montube install

2001 FLTR
While installing the progressive monotube kit I have a problem
The cups that sit at the bottom of the factory air shocks in side the slider..
Do u reuse them with the montube install?
Seems damn tight sliding the shock up to install the top cap of the montube ( not the cap above the triple tree.)
I have the bike torn apart of course its saturday and the progrtessive tech line is closed!!!
Thanks guys
