Stock Rear Suspension Setting

I have a 2016 RGS with stock suspension all around. I've added a tour pak and am getting ready to head out on an 8 day ride with my lady friend. So, as much as I'll try to limit what she packs, I'm guessing we'll be loaded down. The manual says set the preload to high for this set up. I'm wondering what everyone else's experience has been with the stock rear shocks with a similar load. Is the high setting too stiff? I know, I know, best solution is to replace the shocks, but until then any insight is appreciated.

Thank you for the response. That's what I used to set it last night. I'm set on high. Just wondering if folks have found the setting to be too stiff?

Good point. I'll also be sure to remind her that the treadmill doesn't use itself!
