Noisy Ohilns on the front of 2015 RGS

Anybody with front Ohlins experience? I have the Ohlins cartridges installed on my 2015. did the install a year ago and very happy with the performance. But, They have always made noise on rebound, I describe it as the sound of the oil going through the valving. Is this normal?

Thanks

With the front brake on compressing and letting the front rebound I have always heard the valving working. I'll try and do a video. No complaints, just had someone comment on the noise and now I am wondering. Thanks

Yes, if they put the top out spring in the wrong location, it will bang when the front end extends out completely.

Thanks fellas. I found a video on YouTube that a guy had captured the same whoosh groan noise I have. Seems everyone agrees that it is the nature of the cartridge , or as one guy said, "that's what performance sounds like". No clanking, or anything other than hearing the oil going through the valves.

Pretty happy with this ohlins setup, but think the motor company should up their game with a high tech suspension that has variable valving. They figured out the brakes, do the same with the suspension.

Steady Eddie, Was it a "loud phase"? I have fatboy that has that problem. Neighbors were passing the hat during the Christmas party for a quiet baffle. Lol

Garage
I can hear the front end working as I hit bumps. Like you describe, kind of a fluid whoosh sound. It's a little bit annoying, but the ride is so much improved that I could care less. I just don't let it bother me.

It was a a "Fast as Fuck" Phase - I had a beast of a build on my old 2015 that was Dyno'ed at 130hp/140fpt - The Motor AND the Exhaust Note were jut plain fucking LOUD - I was ready for the quiet and ease of Stock
