air shock help

Can anyone tell me where I can get the doohickie that has the Schrader valve and the two push in connectors for the air shock system?

I just picked up a set of air shocks from a wrecked RGU that had only 1200Km on cost me about $75, but there was no tubing or this connector to pressure the shocks.

If they dont work, I havent really lost much.

Regards

See my attachment and let me know if these are the parts you're referring to. I'm not sure where you'll find them in your locale but I can get you the OEM part numbers.

That is exactly what I need.

Thanks so much for your help so far.

I hope that I can find one used as the part from Harley will probably cost a fortune.

I think that these airshock parts are made by FESTO, but this one is probable a special for Harley.

Slim, with a little ingenuity, you could buy any air shock line kit and retrofit it to work just fine on your air shocks. There isn't any black magic. Save for convenience, you could just buy two schrader valves and retrofit them directly to the shock bodies. You'd have to fill each one individually, but less failure points than the cross-over tubing. Just a couple thoughts if you decide not to go the OEM route.

Unless the shocks have changed drastically all you'd need to convert to an individual valve for each shock is;

2- 1/8" NPT adapters
2- schrader valves

Any local shops that sell air compressors, compressor parts or pneumatic tools could probably set you up with everything you need if you take that picture to them. Wouldn't surprise me if a seasoned hand at your local hardware store couldn't do the same.

Thanks all for your input.

I found a source of the Schrader valves at an agricultural machinery shop of all places.

Just over a dollar each and with some PTFE tape they fit one per shock perfect.

No real trouble to se two shocks and they dont loose any air so far.

Merry Christmas all in this great forum.

Just an update on my shocks - once I got the pressures right they are 100% better than the standard "premium".

It has been almost four weeks now and the pressure has been maintained exactly as set.

Best Wishes.

You can go to a heavy truck shop like Peterbuilt or Kenworth ,they have all you will need for your air systems, and I believe the tubing is 5/32 , they have all the brass fittings and push connectors as well , they use them on there shifters etc.
