another Super shox rider

Just wanted to get a feel for those of you who have upgraded your rears to a high performance shock. What route di you go for the front end? SS said their front cartriges should be out sometime this summer but couldn't qoute a price point. What did you do? Ohlin's? Legends? Progressive monotubes? I know the better shocks on the rear are really going to point out how shi++y the stock front end is, but is it worth it to spend another 6-800 on the racing series or just go with the more moderate priced monotubes.

I'm happy with the Monotube / Super Shox combo, but have not tried any of the others front end replacements. I got about 9 bills wrapped up in my suspension and didn't want to spend much more. Is there better ? Probably so. Will it cost more ? Most likely. Are the top end suspensions that much better ,bang for buck ? Don't know. Not many jump from one top end suspension to another top end suspension so it's hard to compare. unless you know a few guys with different top end suspensions and start test riding . You really have to look at your budget and go from there.

The Supershox front cartridges were rumored to be out last summer but must be farther behind than
what was quoted at that time. I can't help you out on a good combo, was kind of hanging out to see what they were coming with. Really impressed with their rear shocks and would like to try the fronts also.

I am happy with my monotube / super shox. They work great for the way I ride. The number of variables that make for a good setup seem endless. Solo, 2up, knee dragging, cruising, weight, etc...

I went with the 14" Premium SS on the rear - planned on going with Ohlins in the front - but the new front suspension on the 17 really surprised me - this will be the first HD that I've owned that I won't be changing the front - they did it right this time it rides and handles as good as any on my Ohlins / Progressive have in the past......

I have owned Progressive, Ricor, JRi , Ohlins #3-#3 and #6's in shocks and Ricor, Progressive monotubes and Ohlins cartridges in the front end. I've also tried many other brands of shocks and fork cartridges. Most were a nice improvement, Ohlins on both ends is the best.

All great replies. I guess after filtering them out is all boils down to personal subjectivity and that ANYthing is better than stock! Pulled the trigger on the Premium super shox 14" with relocation bracket and am going with the standard Progressive mono-tubes for the front. It may not be track ready, I'm betting it'll be better than it is now!

Also doing a black 12" KST Renegades with Avon Air SS grips, drag specialties Stealth 1 mirrors, and new levers. Saving the engine mods for the fall. Thank you Uncle Sam! Can't wait for next year!
