Talking Ohlins 772"s

Well.......... After not much deliberation, I broke down and contacted Smarty for a new set of Ohlins 772"s. I seriously can't believe I have waited this long.

First and foremost, I want to throw a shout out to Smarty, for the best customer service that I have ever received. From initial install all the way through, to adjusting the clicker's he was right there on the phone.

After the install, I only had a short time to put a few miles down on the new shocks till the wife arrived. Adjusted at 18 clicks out on the rebound per Smarty....... took off and what a difference this has made in in short 5 mile run.
Later that evening, I took of for a short 50 miler to see what this really meant on the road without any adjustments and discovered that, as it stands...... its close. Today, I'm going to try and get at least 200 miles or so and play with the clickers 1 or 2 clicks only, to see if I can totally dial this in.

The ride today will consist of freeways, backroads and quite a few mountainous roads with a lot of twistys.
I will more than happy to report my ride sometime tomorrow, and give a full report on my thoughts after playing on the road for the day.

Thanks again to Smarty for the hookup and being a consument gentlemen in the process !!!

Absolutey, it was a pleasure talking to you and even bigger pleasure hearing the smile in your voice after your ride. All the kudos to Ohlin's, the best Harley shock made! They make Suspended by Smarty look like a pro! Well, that may be a stretch but they do make my job easier.

And yours will be in very shortly as well. As most know, Ohlin's has been having some backorder issues from demand and the end of summer factory shutdown for vacation as is customary in Europe. The first week of October that will be a thing of the past with everything being back to normal. Thank you guys for being patient and it will be worth it.

HD 772's

Oh well, here goes, I finally came off the hip and ordered mine as well, got them FAST, couldn't get them installed for 2 weeks then couldn't get the sag set for another 1.5 weeks. ALL I've heard is Smarty this Smarty that, but I will say it is ALL true, this cat is ALL about getting your new shocks mounted and set correctly! Goes well beyond any customer service I've experienced!! Went for a quick 10 mile jaunt and it is ABSOLUTELY a different bike. Not dialed in 100% but really good. My "old" bike with the air shocks and CVO hand adj shocks felt unstable at slow turns and 50-70 mph sweepers made the rear waller around, feels so planted now! Been disappointed in my 1st HD having absolutely no power (main reason I never owned one) but then the suspension being so Awful really had me second guessing. I've heard it before but suspension should be the very 1st investment! Now I want the fork cartridges and then get these cams, lifters, pushrods and TTS installed, this slug needs some power...Thanks again Carol, you da MAN!!!

Installed my 772s last night. Smarty on the phone helping with the procedure for installation and then setting the sag...all while he was on vacation. Smarty is amazing with quick shipping and SUPER customer service. Today I went for a 30 mile ride and the difference in the bike is beyond my wildest expectations. It was raining pretty hard so I didn't do any aggressive cornering but sections of bumpy roads, expansion joints, etc. were now smooth with no more jarring my back.
Thanks Smarty!
