I just purchased a new 2013 RGC 2 weeks ago & really like the bike but I am wanting to install the Arnott air ride but which one is the one to go with.. Is there much difference between the Bilstein and the Aldan system? I am 5'8" and would like to be better positioned in stop & go traffic but would like to air the suspension up when on the road. I only want to do the suspension once so I want to make sure I have all the info before pulling the trigger. Can anyone tell me the major differences between the 2 systems? TAI.

Congrats on the new scoot and welcome to the forum from St. Louis. I don't know anything about the air ride systems but I am sure one of the experts here will chime in.

Far as I know, the only different between the two kits are the shocks themselves. The aldans are 11 position adjustable, whatever that means. Far as the ride, Ive heard from some that they cant tell the difference between the two. Another option is the DIY air ride, which is what alot here have done including myself.

I have had both Arnott shocks. I didn't like the Bilsteins. I like the Alduns. I have had them for 2 years and have never adjusted the Alduns other than experiment with air pressure. I have never been happy with the contact I have had with Arnott.

With that being said, there is a thread on here for Corvette air shocks that can be put together for far less than the Arnott's. I have put that kit together but have had no reason to install it at this point. If I had it to do over again I would go with the Corvette shocks.
