New Works Performance Steel Tracker shocks

Finally got my new shocks the other day. Got the Works Performance Steel Trackers with dual rate springs and the ARS system. This uses a stepped collar over the initial spring, and determines how soon the shock goes from the soft spring to the main spring, thus affecting load carrying ability. The pre-load is also adjustable. They custom make these according to your's and the passengers weight, and the approx weight of the bike. They bolted right on and lined up perfectly. I went with the 13" ones as I wanted a little more ground clearance. I can still touch the ground without issues.

I've put a few miles on solo and am really impressed with how well they handle the bumps. No jarring or bouncing. My wife recently had surgery so won't be able to check out the two-up ride for a few more weeks. The only issue I had was that my WheelDock EZ Up center stand now is too short, so I've listed it in t he classified if anyones interested. Once we can get in some two-up riding I'll report back.

Thanks for the info. I've run "Works" before on my FXRs. Great shock.

Thumbs up

Another one here was one of my first upgrade. Had them for 2 years now on my Roadie and they have been great. Steel trackers compared to the stock was night and day well worth a little money. Confidence going into the mountains and the ease of going solo to two up about one minute.

I'm very happy with their performance so far. I did notice today that the much talked about " 40mph wobble " has returned. I'm wondering if the change in steering geometry caused by the 1 inch longer shocks could have brought this back. It's not as bad as it once was before the dealer tightened the head bearing, but it is back.

Also, I wonder if anyone has the standard length WheelDock EZ Up center stand. I'd like to know the distance from the center of the pivot pin to the bottom of the foot piece. I'm thinking it'd be cheaper to have a weld shop add some material to the bottom of my shorter stand than buy another one.
