6x9 in fairing?

Is it possible, or has someone tried to put 6x9s in the fairing? I was thinking if 7 1/4 J&Ms can go in the fairing, 6x9s should, right?

Thanks,
Kevin

6 X 9's

Don't think they will fit in the stock location, but if you want them in it can be done.
Here is a link to a step by step install of Polk Audio DXI 6X9 and 6.5's and separate tweeters.
Be careful of the grille height on the 6X9's if you go this way as the clearance to the forks can easily be a problem.

Agree it can be done. Will have to go on the inner fairing and make sure there are no clearance issues. I am thinking you will probably have to cut the glove boxes also! Look for shallow mount 6x9 speakers.

I have seen it done I was told it wasnt a pretty process.. there are after market fairing that fit them with no issue but that is prob more than you want to spend even then they are speciality items.

Yeah def dont want to go down that road then you start spending all kinds of dough.. But the 6.5 do fit nicely even in the inner fairing and 6x9s are usually saved for the bags..
