Install was not that bad..Alpine and J&M not a bad team

So I decided to upgrade my sound system just a little. I purchased the Alpine 149BT that i heard everyone talking about (Awesome). I also came across a deal for a 500w J&M amp along with the rokker xt series speakers. I already had the 250w amp and rokker xt speakers in the front. I pulled the factory head unit, 250w amp and an additional set up speakers i got with deal. all of which i sold to members on the sight for a great price (your welcome). anyway i also purchased the V-Twin Audio install kit that also came with the Hawg Wired adapter for hand controls (Awesome). On top of that J&M took both sets of my rokker xt and gave me a trade in on the new rokker xx. Well last night i got everything hooked up to test out the new install and at first i thought i had messed up big time because when i turned everything on i had no power to my amp. Note: don't forget to hook you leads back up to the battery anyway after i got that taken care of i turned it back on and had to figure out how to make the system pair to my iphone. Note 2: read operating instructions. anyway to cut through the chase. it was about 9:30 P.M. when i got brave and turned the system up to abut 27 and a minute later my wife was screaming at me to turn it down the kids have school tomorrow. (Big Smile on my face). The system sounded great and best part is the fact i had the satisfaction of doing it myself. Putting the fairing back on is a whole other story in itself.......

To John and Andy at J&M thanks for quick turnaround on my order. and the guys at V-Twin Audio you make a great product. Loving the rain cover.

I will say this. If i can do this by myself...anyone can. Install was not that bad.....

Can you tell a big difference in the XX's from the XT's? I currently have the XT's and been thinking about trading in for the XX's. Wondering if it is worth doing.

It's a complete different system. the head unit is different so the comparrison might not be the same. But it is a big improvement overall adding the rear speaker lids to the mix as well. The speakers are crystal clear...got me

The Alpine has four led colors to choose from (blue, red, amber, green). The actual display stays white on the 149BT and the colors change on the buttons and knobs on the rest of the unit...
