Biketronics Splash Guard Install

Simple question. Installing new head unit, but before I close her up do I need to have the head unit out to install any part of the Biketronics splash guard that have ordered but is not here yet? Hate to seal it all up and then realize oops!

Thanks,

Mine attaches with a small piece of Velcro on each side. Snug fit and does its job.

There's no need to wait on the splash guard. As mentioned it just covers the HU. I haven't used mine so I can't tell you how well it will work.

Mine lasted a couple weeks. I got on the expressway and lasted less than a mile.

Blew off eh? Wasn't planning on using it at speed since I do a great job of avoiding wet trips, but I do want it in place when I wash the bike...just in case.

Thanks for the quick replies!

It just slips over the head unit and as mentioned above a couple small pieces of Velcro on either side will hold it in place. I use mine every time I wash the bike. It's not 'waterproof' so I wouldn't recommend dousing your radio but it will protect it from splashes.
I carry mine in a saddle bag to put on when parked at work or in case I get caught in storm.
