Static in speaker

Hey I am wondering if anyone has had a PBR amp go bad on 1 Chanel and give off static and a nasty fuzz when I turn the bike off. I have had the amp for over a year but only used the front channel, I have just gotten a bunch off work done and we added speakers on the rear channel. The shop looked into it and told me today that the amp was making the noise. Has anyone seen this happen before?
