strange problem with ipod interface

a buddy of mine has an hd ipod interface and is using his iphone as a music source (unlimited data, pandora). the problem comes in when he is riding and hits 60-65mph, the hk wants to switch from pandora, to using the mp3s that he has stored on his phone. it will also do that from fm or cd mode as well. hit 60-65 and it automatically switches to ipod mode.

anyone ever seen this and has an idea of what's going on?

I understand the concept of reality, but find it too confining for a way of life.

Garage
Probably his phone doing it, not the interface. Have him try Pandora in his car with his iPhone, and see if it switches.

it works normally in his car. only does it when he accelerates above 60mph. as long as he stays below that, pandora will play all day long. but get above 60mph, and it switches.......

gonna try and switch phones and see for sure though.

Used iPod interface for about 16 month no issues at all mp3 pandora also connect my 5c with Apple cable from the old style to new.
You may want to check and update radio and iPod interface firmware.
