J&M 7.25 vs infiniti Kappa's

+I've been running a pair of the original J&M 7.25 fairing speakers and 250W amp for 3+ years and been quite happy. I'm now feeling the need to upgrade the fairing speakers to something new and am considering the Infiniti Kappa's. Does anyone have any direct experience with these two speakers? Would the Infiniti' be considered an upgrade? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I've had both, IMO the Kappa is a better quality and better sounding speaker. Also you can buy the Kappa plus the adapters for less than what the JM cost, so you can still use the adapters if you decide to change brands in another couple of years. Remember the newer Kappa is the 62.11i just in case you go that route.

dbell, are these 62.11i speakers you (and others) speak of, are they waterproof? going to the infinity site, they have them as 'car' speakers but not listed as 'marine' speakers. i'd think that if they were WP, they would also be 'marine' grade WP.
