USB memory stick

Got a question for all the computer people out there. I am trying to put music onto a 16gb memory stick. Using a MacBook Pro and iTunes I created a playlist using MP3 files. First attempt was 500 songs. Put the USB in my Alpine and half of the songs read NOT SUPPORTED. Changed the ID tag to V1. Still no luck. Upon investigation my Root Folder cannot contain more than 255 files. How do I create multiple folders off the Root Folder to put all my music on the USB memory stick?

If your going to do something give it all you got, might be the last time you ever do it !!!

I have seen this several times when creating a MP3 DIRECT from I-tunes. The way to solve it and you can test it with your top 10 songs is to create a playlist of the songs, burn this playlist to a CD. Then import the songs from the CD and set preferences to create a MP3 when importing.

Then copy this MP3 file on to your USB and you are good to go.

Enjoy the Ride!

Apple makes it a nearly impossible to transfer songs from Itunes to non apple products. I needed to buy a third party program to transfer my songs from iTunes on my PC to a memory card so I could store and play my music on my android phone. It was absolutely the best thing I did. Now I have all my music saved to a folder on my PC which I can send to ANY devise of my choosing without any trouble. I'm not a fan of Apple for just that reason and have since deleted my iTunes account. I tryed several times to transfer, even paying several visits to the apple store but they say I couldn't do it because of copy right laws even though I BOUGHT the songs from itunes and downloaded songs from PURCHASED cds. Eventually one of the apple employees told me(under his breath of course) I needed to buy a third party program. After I searched and bought the third party program it took my about 10 mins to transfer everything

I have just dragged and dropped the music from the music folders directly to the USB or SD in the past. I bypass iTunes completely. Also make sure they are not AAC files. If you do not care for the order that they are played, open the USB's folder and move around the files manually. This doesn't take too much time and has worked successfully for me in the past.
