New deck and speakers

Thowing a shout out to FLTRick for his help last night with the install of my new head unit and speakers

We went with an Alpine CDE-HD149BT head unit and a set of alpine 5 1/4 componets. Still running the hogtunes amp....for now.
I was running a hogtunes setup prior to this. Let me simply say its a night and day difference from the stock head unit and 5x7 hog tune speakers. I can hear vocals now at 70 with a four inch windscreen.
The sound is nice and crisp and no distortion thanks to rick and the alpine's built in crossovers.
The radio has the abilty to control and charge my i pod, it also will control pandora on either an i phone or android, and is sirus xm ready.

Rick is also changing out the leds in my tach and speedo, and he put red leds inside my speaker grills. looks bad ass while post some pics soon!!

Thanks again FLTRick, anybody in the NH, ME area that needs motorcyle audio or wiring work done hit the man up he is good!!!

The 149 is a good unit, I'm very happy with mine, I would have gone with a larger speaker, but as long as you're happy, that's what matters.

How hard was it to adapt the head unit to the hand controls? and was there any crazy modifications required to install. I am happy with my amp/speaker setup, just want a different head unit which will plug in w/o too much fuss.

Thanks in advance!

i thought it was fairly easy with the hawg wired module, i got the whole install kit from vtwin audio, pretty straight forward install.
