Speaker and tweeter quwstions

So i bought a 400 watt hawg wired amp from a member here on the forum and have speaker questions as im am not very stereo minded. first question is how do you know if component tweeters will fit in guage holes, is there a certain size tweeter or do they all fit and how do you mount them in guage holes. second i'm looking at using focal 165as component speakers will these be enough wattage speaker for that amp? or would i be better off with the focals that have the tweeter thats mounted on speaker. and lastly cant find any info on iron aces website about pricing on doing the rca preouts

The gauge hole is a weird size. I have the rokker tweeters which eliminated the need to try and "figure out what works". Also, the price of these tweeters is close to the amount that it would cost you in labor, tools, materials, other tweeters, etc. They are plug and play and two ohm. I have them ran directly to the speaker wire of the bike. All other speakers are coming from the amps.

As far as speakers are concerned....if you wanna spend 300-500 on some speakers, then be my guest. If it were me, i would settle for the next best thing (actually better if you factor in their cost) and thats the infinity kappa 62.11i. I have yet to hear ANY fairing speaker that can compete with that speaker....and when you add in the price of them, like i said before, they cant be beat. I have a pair in my bike and although they are rated at 225w max per speaker, I can tell you they will handle more than that. I am sending them 225w each from my amp and still have room to turn the gains up. Look into them and maybe you'll save a little coin. They have the tweeters built in as well and sound awesome with the rokker tweeters complimenting them.

And as far as adding RCA outs, it's $115 to add both front and rear channels. Go to their website www.ironcrossaudio.com and click on the right side "additional services" and go to the middle menu and it lists everything under "stand alone services".

Go figure i was on iron aces website,as far as the focals they are only $300, but are only 120w max. not sure if thats enough.the speakers arent costing me really anything, using my dealer points to pay for,but don't want to waste my points either, crutchfeild is the only audio place i can purchase at

Coaxial speakers have the tweeter in the center of the speaker cone, while component speakers have a bridge that holds the tweeter, separating the tweeter from the mid-range cone. HTH. (The Hawg Wired website has a pretty good explanation of this.)

These are my super tweeters. Hertz ST35. I molded the ring it threads into on the back side of the fairing.
