My Boom amp isn't even hooked up

I found an interesting situation on my bike. I bought it used and it already had the Boom amp upgrade with Boom speakers in the fairing and saddlebag lids. I was wanting to upgrade the speakers and when I was removing the current ones I found that it appears the amp isn't even plugged in.

There is one line going to the back, which i assume is to the battery. One line to each side of the fairing for the speakers to plug in. These lines have both a pair of maie and femaie spade connectors. There is also another line coming out of the amp with two small male straight pins that is not plugged into anything either.

I ran a test while the radio was playing to confirm the obvious and pulled out the main connector to the amp and there was no change in the sound. Not that I expected to see any.

I found the install instructions for the amp and I think I have located the Duetcsh plug and found 2 ports that were not being used, just had plug ends in them. If I plug the male pins into those ports and then the fairing speaker lines in the speaker how does the sound get to the lid speakers.

It does appear that there is a audio connector harness installed as there a bunch of lines off that Duetcsh connector for speakers, intercom etc.

Any suggestions? TIA

Here are a couple of pics that show the Duetsch plug and the LT speaker. You can see the line coming from the HU in the left connecting to the line from the amp which is also connected to the speaker.

Boom amp not working?

So here is the latest update. I have the amp, speakers and head unit connected correctly, well I think so based on the not so clear HD instructions. When I turn on the radio I get no sound at all.

My first question is that I am not sure if the HU has ever been flashed. I was told it needed to when using the Boom amp. Whether it has or hasn' t shouldn't I at least hear something? I am not convinced that since I hear no sound that it is just a flash issue.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Boom wire harness

I must ask if you have both Boom Harness used to hook up the amp? there is 2 of them. If you have a intercom it sounds like you do. I have the GPS/SiriusXM,Intercom, iPod installed on mine. Now rocking a Biketronics setup. ( sorry Jim i just couldn't swing the rokker setup at the time).
Also the "flash" is used to tone down the bass. I removed my boom amp last year on my 2012 FLTRX and i agree its a cluster to deal with the HD wired mess and still have everything work as advertised.
