2015 RG and Hertz HCX 165 speakers

I have seen a few threads where the Hertz speakers were discussed, but no definitive answer. Does anyone know for sure if the Hertz HCX 165 speakers will fit in the faring of a 2015 RG without cutting anything away on the inside of the fairing? Also what about the stock speaker grills?

I want to upgrade speakers to Hertz and install a Rockford PBR 300x2 amp on my ride but do not want to cut or alter the fairing. I have heard Rockford has a kit to include wiring and amp mount bracket that will fit the 2015 RG. This is the direction I want to go for my upgrade, any input would be greatly appreciated.

Garage
You will have to cut the speaker enclosure to allow room for the magnet. If you do so, you will be able to mount them behind the stock grills.

The ecx 6.5s will fit with no problems and they sound great.

dbizzle75,

Have you installed the ECX 6.5s speakers in a 2015 Road Glide?

You can mount the HCX with minimal trouble but you do have to cut the speaker enclosure box. Very simple if you pull off speaker boxes and use a Dremel tool.
