JL audio install problem

Ok I have a problem... I just picked up my bike and was supposed to have the 6.5 C3 speakers and the XD 400/4v2. I changed the head unit to a ken wood Marine grade unit.

I have the 51/4 speakers and was told that the 6.5 would not fit. No mention was made of this before it was completed. I went to the store and this is what they recommended.

How would you handle this?

I take it you got a pre- 15 bike ? You took your bike to a place that doesn't know bikes very well. All you need on pre- 15 bikes to mount 6.5 speakers are adapters.
I'd school them and tell them to finish the job the way you want it.

2010 FLTRX , Stage 1, 13" Madstad, Mono tubes, SuperShox, Heritage style bars. Alpine CDE-HD149BT,Soundstream Picasso Nano Series PN4.520 , 5X7 and 6.5 Infinity Kappa speakers
If I have to explain ,you wouldn't under stand anyway.

Many places sell them , but I prefer Hawg Wired's adapters.

What should I do about this guy?? I wanted bigger speakers that is why I upgraded. I'm pissed that he did this and did not say anything. No call other than it is finished.

I would tell him you want what was promised. Do you have a written estimate ?

I have the receipt where I paid for the 6.5. I spoke with him and he said we would work it out. So if I get the adapters it will allow the speakers and amp to fit without cutting the glovebox? Sorry guys but I'm ignorant on this stuff.

Yes, the adapters allow the speakers to fit with out modifying the motorcycle in any way. Remove the adapter and your back to oem. The speaker adapters have nothing to do with the amp placement.
