Replacing stock audio?

I don't use the radio since I use Sena bluetooth units for myself and my wife. Also, I've never seen the need for the CB and my 2011 Road Glide didn't come with the headphone/microphone setup anyway.

I'm thinking of putting in a single DIN GPS unit. If I did, what would I be losing? Any concerns? Anybody done this before? Thanks!

If you already don't use the radio then I'd think you wouldn't lose anything. I take it those sena units are helmet mounted? I know some people have removed the radios and installed a radioless compartment for storage.

Question More questions than answers

I can't post a new thread yet. Not trying to hijack yours....

2015 Road Glide Special. Recently replaced factory speakers with Alpine Type X 6.5 components, Alpine KTP-445 amp bridged to 90 watts.

I still don't feel as if I am getting the most from these speakers due to the "enclosure" that Harley now uses on the RG. Any Audio expert out there with some help please p.m. me before I start cutting holes which I may have to plug later in the enclosures.

The headsets are bluetooth so is there a way to get your phone (Im assuming you have a smart phone) to stream GPS through them instead of replacing the radio?
