Audio Flash from HD

All, assisted a buddy this past week installing a arc audio amp on his 2014 Special. In the past I would take to the dealer and flash the audio to accommodate the upstage according to arc and others. Well, apparently the local dealership will no longer do the flash unless it's for Boom Audio. They says it's due to the new download from harley? Anyone else encounter this issue or a possible work around? Thanks

Don't know if you can do the flash you are needing, but the latest Harley flash I did myself using the Harley website and a jump drive.

Hi,

It does not seem possible to get a decent amp flash at the dealer any more, so your best bet is something like the Magic Box from Cycle Sounds, our Line Leveler, or send the radio to J&M to get flashed.

I believe your talking apples and they are talking oranges. . The amp Flash and systems firmware update are different.

2010 FLTRX , Stage 1, 13" Madstad, Mono tubes, SuperShox, Heritage style bars. Alpine CDE-HD149BT,Soundstream Picasso Nano Series PN4.520 , 5X7 and 6.5 Infinity Kappa speakers

You may be right. But it did make everything sound a lot better. I'm running the J&M Rokker amp and speakers.

Thank you BILL for the favorable and honest comments ,,,,,

at this point i think it is a very good idea for ALL Harley aftermarket shops ((Non-Harley dealers)) to invest in the DiagBike programming software from the USA Distributor WPS (Western Power Sports) ,,,,,

then it is a simple radio FLASH thru the sideport to configure the Harley radio's DSP for the optimum output signal level for your favorite amplifier ,,,,,

DiagBike is even going to label this special software flash in the future, the ""J&M/Harley radio flash"" ,,,,, so I get a little bit of a pat on the back ,,,,,,

but in all seriousness, that is the BEST Harley radio flash configuration that I have found, regardless of the brand of amplifier you are using ,,,,,,

of course I would like ALL of you to run the J&M ROKKER amps, but this world is about choices and I understand that ,,,,,

but when you ARE ready for the best, let me know and we will set you up with the world famous J&M ROKKER XTP/XXR amplifier for your Harley ! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
