J&M Aftermarket Software Audio Flash

Hi guys. Been reading for about a year ever since I got my 15 road glide, thanks for all the insight! This is my first post. I installed a RF TM400x4ad amp and JL audio C3 speakers in my fairing. Just ran everything from the high output into the amp and I'm not very happy, these are not cheap components. The line lever that I purchased did not arrive in time so i tried it with out it and got the results i figured i would. I do have BT line lever on the way, I know that will help. My question is has anyone done the J&M audio flash that they put together with the aftermarket software they have. Ill be at the Laughlin river run and plan on having it done there. Thanks Again

If you're switching over to the BT line leveler the bike will need to be flashed back to stock configuration and you'll use the low level inputs. By stock configuration I mean 2, 4, or however many speakers you have and 0 amps. If you go with any flash that includes amps, the line leveler is still fighting the signal issues that it is designed to minimize and your results won't be as good. Very good post over at the other forum audio section that explains this in better detail than I can.

2018 CVO RG lava orange, 117 Stage 3, 14" F47 and a few chrome extras. Boom crap gone.
2016 RG Special Cosmic Blue, 120ST with Dragos 2:1 and TTS tuner, FBI drop seat kit and JNR air ride. Stock audio long gone.

I've never had it flashed. To be honest with all the different info, changes and opinions on the subject I didn't want to deal with it. I installed the BT line leveler today and it made a world of difference. I still think there has to be better. The hi's scream and sound great but there is not much mid bass on down and can be distorted even at low levels. Although nothing like it was before the line leveler. You have a wide adjustment of treble and nearly none for bass. I would imagine this is due to the eq curve in the head unit. Ill be honest this is my first go at motorcycle audio and maybe I'm expecting to much. I have been into car audio and do know what these components are capable of. I know its not a car and i didn't expect the same results, but for the equipment that I installed I certainly expected better. Anyway it sounds like you guys may have the flash dialed in and I have an appointment in Laughlin. Would really like to hear from someone who has had it done.
