6"x9" speaker kit that fits HD speaker lids

I just ran across this while surfing the CVO forum. Biketronics has come out with a 6"x9" speaker kit that is designed to go with the HD speaker lids. The model number of the kit is BT479.

Between this kit and the HW kit, I'm convinced to go the HD lid route. I ordered my HD lids today.

Has anyone seen or heard this speaker kit?

The speakers are rated for 4Ohms and 120 Watts RMS. So they should hit hard with a capable amplifier.

Opinions?

I really like my OE style speaker lids, as far as the direction they point the
tunes, and look decent enough

looking at that picture, all I can think is "lake" or "puddle" or "pond"

the HATS will have a good warranty, so that part is covered

the HAWG WIRED stuff is going to be cool also, DX level, so not ZX level, not yet, there stuff is moving slow right now, but I'm patient

I started to make adaptors to fit 6x9's in the space but did not based on not wanting anything spaced that far back, rather wanted them front loaded

so what I'm running now is shaved 6x8's, can't really recommend it other than it sounds okay, but not the most preferrable method of getting the job done

I'd think maybe the H-D 2ohm speakers would pair up well with a Rockford 2 channel. So far the best sounding harley speakers I've heard, but didn't do an
actual test ride, just in the showroom

subscribed. let us all know what and whatever you find out.
