Speakers

I just bought the rockford amp and I am considering upgrading my speakers.

Any suggestions?

I just bought my glide, so this is all new to me.

Thanks in advance..

Buy a decent pair of 6.5" speakers and an adapter for your bike, which amp did you buy, the 300x2 or 300x4.

Speakers

Lots of info here. A search should give ya too much info and make the choice harder lol

My opinion-- Hawg Wired ZX speakers or any non entry level focals (depends on your ear; number of choices). I have run these and very happy. Good luck man.

Thats why I flat out asked. I started searching. I need a few choices and I will do the research. I just need to be pointed in the right direction.

Have the ZX for a couple years now and they have held up great. Just put some RF Slim lines in the inner fairing and the actuallly compliment each other realt nice . Love the sound of the Focals but they are not for me up here where i could run into some rain once and awhile

custom or ultra?

ultimately the max wattage rating meant more in the end, for myself and being
able to actually utilize the power available

that and decent wire

some speakers are bassier and brighter or both

ZX are the best to me, worth whatever premium, biker built for our exact applications, rock solid stuff

pioneer are true to pricing, all capable - even their cheap ones handle the watts

dunno about RF speakers, have heard them, they sound fine

you will now have 4 channels of 80W, that amp is NOT bridgeable though

Ive got a custom.

And I think I'd prefer a bassier sound.

I am leaning towards the ZX after reading about them.
