Amp #76000141 MTX CVO

I have an amp that I purchased off of the for sale section here. I have a 2006 RG with the Hk radio. When it comes to audio and wiring I'm an idiot. I noticed the amp does not match the wiring harness on the the back of the HK radio anywhere. Is there a way to use this amp with this set up. I should also point out I upgraded to the j&M speakers. Any and all help is appreciated.

I'd like to help you out but the equipment you are mentioning is a little bit out of my immediate knowledge zone

found a link tonight from an updated hawg-wired install sheet, very comprehensive in it's descriptions of components and their functions and how to wire stuff in general, almost exactly the same way you would wire a
"house party" of RF setup also, so the basic knowledge is there

2013 CS/RS

there's a good chance you can make what you have work, I just don't recall exactly what year the radio's switched, do you have pics or spec sheets for the amp? and what ohm ratings are the speakers?

no idea, CVO 1ohm amp takeout from a street glide, sorry but to me it almost looks like a christmas tree ornament - maybe post it up on the CVO boards,
someone might buy it as a backup, list is around $480, should be able to get at least half of that on a quick sale

problem being, CVO's a limited production, on top of an already small market, and 1ohm, most audio stuff is 4ohms, so application and unversal fit is a huge issue, still if it says harley, it's wirth money, I wouldn't know where to start

to make it work you'de have to spend another, $650 in parts or whatever harley charges for the needed bits, 1ohm speakers, adaptors

and it still might not give you what you want

Re: Amp #76000141 MTX CVO

Best thing you could do is sale and hope to get your money back. Those amps aren't much. Most of the guys on the CVO board have had them replaced multiple times due to failure. Not to mention only the stock CVO speakers will work with it so its not much of an upgrade. You'll probably have to change to a CVO harness to make it plug and play.

thanks

Thanks to all for their input. I have the J&m speakers. What is the easiest and most cost effective amp for this. I may later add speakers to my lowers. Have 2006 RG W/ stock HK had unit. Looking for easiest to mount and possibly plug and play.

What did you do with this amp? I may be able to buy it from you if you need to get rid of it? I have an application for it.

Soundstream PN4.520. It may affect your FM reception on your radio, but its a great amp at an unbelievable price. The other option is the PBR 300x2. That one provides a great deal of power and is two ohm stable. If you got a little change to spend, I have a JL audio 4 channel XD400/4 for sale that would be perfect for those speakers. Let me know if you're interested.
