Noobie with audio

So I bought a Klock Werks Kicker kit for my '17 RGS along with a BT line leveler. Once I started plugging it all up I noticed there wasn't a place to plug in the RCA part of the leveler since everything was plug and play... So i just hooked it up as is and figured I get Harley or someone else to flash it. I went to Harley the other day and they said they wouldn't be able to flash because about 6 months ago Harley made it to where no one could go in flash the infotainment unit not even an independent shop. Couple of questions.

Is this true?
If so, should I try and locate the wires and splice in the line leveler or is there another way around it?

That sounds like a giant pile of BS if you ask me. I've heard of a number of people that recently had their radios flashed at their HD dealers. Do you have any other dealers around? Even if it isn't close by, call and ask another dealer about it and I bet you they can do the flash.

Not for nothing but it sounds like, *cough* BULLSHIT *cough* to me.

As the other poster said, try another dealer, it sounds like the one you went to does not want to "take a chance" on screwing something up after you didnt put the "Boom!" crap in.

I was thinking it was bullshit after reading up on a bunch of post... But I hadn't read anything on the answer they gave me... Guess I'll follow the advice and call a few other dealers... they're are plenty here in the DFW area.

It has plugs.

Each dealer can, but may choose to NOT flash your bike if you have aftermarket equipment.

Independent shops now have the ability to flash but I'd advise only using a shop that knows what they are doing.

options...

Call another dealer and have them flash the bike (0 amp 4 speakers) this will open the rear channel (a RG/RGS/SG/SGS don't come with the rear channels unlocked but only necessary if your amp can't split the signal or you just have to have fader). I've tried the 2 amp 8 speaker flash and I prefer the LL with the 0 amp 4 speaker flash.

Hooking up the LL isn't that difficult, it plugs into the harness from the radio, you can cut the ends off the RCA and plug it into the LL and then wire the high level going into your Kicker amp. I'm sure if you don't feel confident doing it, go by a local audio installer and tell them you want an RCA to high level harness made. Same thing, will have RCA ends to plug into the LL and then high level (speaker wire) ends.
