Charging System

What is the maximum amperage draw in aftermarket audio that the stock charging system can support? Bike is 2015 Special.

Not sure the actual number (maybe in the manual?)

I ran 2 amps (JL 280/4 and a Fosgate TM400) and a power supply for an MEX100 in my 15 RGS. I did change the battery out to a Stinger but never had any issues

Find the output in wattage of your stock stator in your maintenance manual. Then subtract 200 watts for the engine and lights. Whatever is left over is what you can use for audio. Watts=Volts x Amps.

08 has a 540 watt charging system. Not sure they put bigger ones in the Rushmore bikes or not.

My 15 RGS doesn't even notice my 500 watt amp.
