Boom II audio upgrade

I have a 2016 road glide special that came with the Boom II speakers in the dash and the lids. I love the clarity of this system it's just not loud enough at 60+. So I'm wondering should I add the lowers to make it louder or scrap the boom system all together and if so what recommendations do you have to be loud and clear??

Rushmores need an amp, if you don't have one. If you have one, it looks like you need a more powerful unit.

From my understanding the boom II system is amplified already.

If that's the case, you need a more powerful amp for starters.

See my above reply.

You can add more in the lowers if you already have them. If not, take that cost into consideration when pricing out a build. Another thing I'll ask is how tall is your windshield? I did the Boom II upgrade on my RGU and am quite pleased with it even on the highway. I am running a 14" shield though.

If you have a true BOOM2 system with speakers in the fairing and speaker lids, then you should have (2) BOOM amps 300watts each. 1 amp powering the 2 front speakers. Each speaker has 2 channels going to it because the tweeter and midrange speaker is power by a channel each. Then the same for the back. You should have an amp in the Fairing and possibly the second amp in one of the saddle bags. Make sure you have a true BOOM2 setup. That should be loud enough even at highway speeds.

I have the Boom Stage 1 in my CVO RGU. 1 300 watt amp running 4 speakers. That's 75 watts each. I can hear mine fine all the way up to about 80+. Now I didn't say that it was as loud as I want it to be at times, but I can hear it fine.

So something is up with your system. Like Bless0 said, you should have 2 amps if you have the true Boom Stage 2 setup.

Now to answer your real question, assuming you have the true Boom Stage 2 Setup and it is setup correctly and you still want more, then your only option is to scrap the Boom POS and go aftermarket. Do some searching right here on this forum. There are lots of talk about it.

By the way, I will be scraping my Boom system asap for something better.
