DB WDXMotos in pre-Rushmore fairing?

Hi guys. I'm considering installing a set of DB WDX6 Motos in my 07 Road Glide. Concerned about whether or not the protruding coaxial tweeter will fit under the stock grills. Has anyone on here confirmed fitment of these speakers in pre-Rushmore applications? Thanks.

Have them in my 18. Had to cut the speaker pods to get them to fit

My 07 doesn't have pods. Was that cuttting you had to do due to clearancing the tweeters in front or for magnets in back?

For the magnets. Huge magnets

Ok, so I was on the phone with Donna @ Biketronics this afternoon. Their adapters measure in at 7/8" thick. (She actually measured them while on the phone with me.) A little on the pricey side, but they should accommodate those tweeters. Not sure about cheaper brands. One listed on Amazon listed 2", which I think is bogus or unrealistic for fitment.

On my 18 i had to cut the pods and also pop the grills off the tweeters to get my factory grill to sit all the way flush.

Never thought of popping the tweeter grills off. Good to know there's another option if need be. Thanks bro!

Just to update, the DBs fit fine with the Biketronics adapters. No need to remove the tweeter grills.
