Speakers hitting the outer fairing

I have a 09 cvo rg with the JL audio 6.5 adapters and my speakers are hitting the outer fairing when I install it......how can I fix this? Does another adapter move the speaker in more so it doesn’t hit?

The adapters I got were offset to prevent that from happening. I found them on eBay.

looking at the jl audio adapters on eBay they look to be offset as well. if your speakers are hitting your outer fairing, then i would rotate the adapters to put your speakers in a different position inside your fairing.

I understand the concept of reality, but find it too confining for a way of life.

Crsgohn, I have the Hawg Wired 6.5 Adapter Rings on my 2012 Custom and they work great.
Here's a link if interested, https://hawg-wired.com/product_info....th/2/pPath/133
Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. The hawg wired is similar to the JL. I have the offset turned all the way in but the problem is the MMats pa601 magnet is wide.

I answered your PM also. Either the adapters aren't turned enough or different speakers. Mine fit no problem and I also have Dyna Mat on the inside of the fairing.

If you can, post a pic from the top looking down of what you have going on.
