Has anyone ever put an amps into these cubbies and how wide are the cubbies for 2018 Road Glides? Was thinking of following amps to place in both right and left cubbies.

Diamond Audio Micro4V2 - Dimensions: 9.07”W x 4.0”H x 1.46”D.

***

MMats MD4110 - Dimensions: 4.13H x 8.41″W x 1.57″D.

If you have with either amp please share pics how it looked once installed.

I can barely get my cell phone in those cubbies. The DM 4V2 fits easily under the radio. I just hung it with zip ties.

Heavy, I'm not exactly sure where you're referring to when you say cubby holes inside the fairing, but I know that on my 2015, there's not much room to do anything under that fairing. A lot of stuff looks like it will fit under there, but the outer fairing is pretty tight to the inner fairing. Remember that even if you can squeeze an amp in there, you'll still need clearance for the cable ends where they plug into the amp, as well as the required wiring and a line leveler if your going to use one. You don't want any sharp bends in your hook up cables, they'll end up breaking or breaking the amp terminals due to vibration. I had one come unplugged from the amp last summer.

The 4V2 will fit in the cubbies. Thereís a pic on the other forum for sure. Would post it for you but on mobile app. Not sure what youíre trying to power, but I have the 4V2 and it is a beast bridged to 2 speakers. The only thing I would recommend it for in 4 channel mode is horns or tweeters. At only 90W itís underpowered for much else.

Call mike about 2 BT 4180ís, not sure if a second one would fit under the BT bracket or not. My guess is no.

GZ micro amps will fit as well.

Food for thought - depending on what youíre running the 4250 might work. With it you could run four speakers in parallel front and rear and still get 180W to each one. Keep in mind that it would limit your tuning options, but if you have 4 identical speakers in parallel it would be fine with a DSP.

When you can post pic and what year ride it it? And how much room is left side to side?

Yes I am wanting it for Horns/Domes only.

Was thinking the MMatts are close to The Micro4V2’s.

Diamond Audio Micro4V2 - Dimensions: 9.07”W x 4.0”H x 1.46”D.

MMats MD4110 - Dimensions: 4.13H x 8.41″W x 1.57″D.

******

Also thought of Cerwin Vega B54’s their 8.08” L x 4.02”W x 1.4”D.

It's post #3 in this thread: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/audio...g-fairing.html

The pic is on a 15.

Here's another thread with a pic of it above the headlight. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/audio...nd-system.html If you redo the zip ties it's even cleaner.

CV and Diamond are owned by the same company so the amps are pretty much identical in size. The 4V2 uses better components than the B54 so it's more $$$$. For running horns or tweets the B54 should be fine.

If you have the 4180 under the radio the 4V2 will fit like a glove on top of the headlight. Move a couple of wires around and there's plenty of room. I don't even have velcro or zip ties on mine and it's never moved. You'll need to remove the plastic wire holders from the headlight tabs, but do NOT need to cut the tabs off - they actually help hold the amp in place. It slides under the main radio connector and sits on top of the headlight between the radio bracket and the headlight tabs. It's like they designed it to go there.

So the Micro4V2 will fit both sides. The Cerwin Vegas might it’s 4.02” vs Micro4V2 at 4.0” and the Matt’s MD4110 is 4.13” wide I’m favoring the Matt’s over the Micro4V2 but like the Cerwin Vega B54 more so cheap the B52 was awesome so dunno and it these 2 amps that go into the cubby’s are strictly for horns and domes. And I have a BIketronics BT4180 under radio and looks like can put another one and a DSR1 or 2 up above light.
