6 speakers off one amp??

Is there a small amp that will fit in an 05 fairing out there that can drive 6 speakers? Setup is two speakers in stock location, two 6.5's cut in fairing by forks, and two 6x9's in lids. Currently have 2 small amps (hogtune & RFpbr) that I would like to replace with one single more powerful amp that can drive 6 speakers. Thanks

Depends on the impedance of the speakers...
Are they 8 ohms, 4 ohms, or 2 ohms?

How low of an impedance is your amp stable to ?
Is it 1 ohm stable, 2 ohm stable, 4 ohm stable ?

Also are you going to use a 2 channel or 4 channel amp?

Personally Id run a 4 channel amp in the faring for the fronts and 1 in the back for the 6x9s. I know that is not what you are looking for.

The impedance of the speakers is important so we can determine how they could be wired to attain the impedance that a prospective amp can support.

A two channel amp can do it...more speakers requires more power.
If the amp is not stable at the impedance the speakers present then it will shut down or blow.

So we are back to the speakers.... pick some and lets us see how we can make it work...

I believe I stated Polk MM would work for my budget. I think they are 4ohm. I have not bought anything yet. Just looking for options other than just replacing the RF amp and waiting for it to blow again.

If the speakers in front are 4ohm and wired in series and then the rear in parallel you have a net 2.6667 ohms impedance. So you would need a 2 Ohm stable amplifier if you went with a 2 channel amp.

300 watt 2 ch amp (2 Ohm stable)
This puts 100 watts to the front speakers and 200 watts to the rear 6x9s.

All in series
Or you can run all speakers in a channel in series with a net 12 Ohm impedance which allows you to run a 4 Ohm stable amp (2 channel) which will make it easier to find an amp that will fit.

Your power will be evenly divided between the speakers.
A 100 watt amp will result in about 16.7 watts per speaker.

300 watt amp is about 50 watts per speaker

This gives you some info on what to look for in a amp besides size...

I run 4 Carbon 65's and 2 Iron 69's off a DSP and SS4.100 amp... Faring, lowers and lids 4 Carbons are paralleled into the front 2 channels creating a 2ohm load. The Iron 69's are 2 ohm load and run off the rear 2 channels.... perfect setup. Sounds incredible.
