Amp power kit or DIY?

You guys buying a premade/measured power wire and fuse holder kit or make your own? How long does the wire need to be from battery to amp on radio? What gauge for DA micro4v2. What size fuse? Thx.

One thing to look for in Audio Wire is that it is 100 % Oxygen Free.
It may be a little more expensive but you will hear a difference with Audio.
Just my 02 cents.

Big Papa, I'm not sure of the length of wire needed for the Newer Models of Glides but I am in the process of upgrading my 2012 Custom and I bought everything I needed on Amazon.
I did a lot of searching and reading and was able to put together my own list of necessities.
It does get a little costly as opposed to purchasing a kit but I like to make sure I have some of the best equipment when it comes to my Glide.
Here is a list of the Audio Accessories I am using.
Hope this helps.

Scosche makes a nice kit for about $40. If I was doing a ton of installs I’d buy it separately but I only do a few a year so kits are easier for me. IIRC 3 ft is plenty, 4 is overkill.

If it’s just the one 4V2 than 8ga wire and 60 amp fuse are fine. The amp has an internal 50 amp fuse so needs to be bigger than that.
