Old faithful is done

Well, My SS 1000d has a channel thats toast. It was bridged to my lid speakers. Started going out, then it would come back on. Then, finally, nothing. Anybody thats says you can't hear lid speakers at speed doesnt have the lids set up correctly because it was night and day with just 1 speaker. Remote wire came off 2 years ago on a trip and lost the lids and you could absolutely tell.

I switched the speaker wires on the amp and the problem changed sides. Changed the RCAs from the amp to the DSP and same deal.

After talking to Alex, going to go with another Stinger 700x4, if I can get a good price on it. Maybe a JL, it never ends

2009 Road Glide. 16 in Vindikta Wild Cats. Aquatic AV, Stinger 700X4 to MMats PA 601, Audiopipe horns.
Ground Zero 7X10 in the lids w/ sspn.4 1000d, tuned with DD Audio DSI-2. S&S 106, lifters, push rods and AC. Drago 2. CycleRama 575. Progressive monotones -1in. 12in. HD adjustable rear shocks. Painted inner fairing. Tuned with TTS. Blacked out!

Thanks Mike

Well, I couldn't get the deal I wanted on the stinger amp. Went ahead with another SS 1000d. Ive had it for a few years and it was used when I got it, so If I get 3trs out of this one Ill be happy.
Good thing is, and one of the reasons I got another one, Tune should be good or real close.
Ordered some copper ferrules also. I cant stand twisting wire into the amp and then setting the screw. The ferrules should provide a more solid hook up.
Brewiz and Mike U like this.

You're welcome Philly.
Ferrules are what I used on all my wiring to the amps and they made a very big difference.
Best of luck with the new amp Bro!

New 1000d is in. Im wondering if the old was losing something for a while. New one sounds much better, fuller.
Hopefully the new one last as long as the old one, even longer
