Willy_b Audio Build

Donít post much but Iím definitely on here a lot. Figured Iíd post my audio stuff that Iím doing to my 17. Some of you may remember my 12 in which i had 8 speakers, 2 horns and 3 amps. This bike is going to be more tamed than that one, at least for now. Iíll be running two Faital Pro 6.5 coax in the front with the woofer parts run off a Soundigital 600.1 and the ďhornĒ parts run off a Soundigital 250.2. Then in the rear Iíll be running two PRV 10s running off a Soundigital 1200.1. All amps will be mounted in the fairing. Will also be running a Rockford DSR1 to fine tune everything. My plan as of now is to run a dual circuit breaker, one side for front and one side for rear, so that i can easily turn off the rear section on long trips and rides. Iím just getting started with bonding my 10Ē rings in the bags and getting my amp rack done in the fairing. Iíll update as i go as Iím trying to get some preliminary stuff done so once i open the fairing i can roll on everything, saving my down time.

Sounds like a great 4 speaker set up. What amp rack are you using? I would love to see a picture under the hood once you get everything mounted up.

The amp rack comes from XEL Customs. You have to cut your inner fairing bracket to make room for it. Luckily i picked one up cheap that Iím able to cut before i open my fairing to cut down on my down time. Here is a pic of one installed, itís not mine.

Got my speakers mounted in bags and also made my 2 brackets to hang my smaller amps under the fairing. I took some speaker cloth and sprayed it with NeverWet and put it between the speakers and the rings inside the bags. The rings are sealed all the way around with silicone also so hopefully if i get caught in rain i may not get to much water up in there.

Still waiting on some people to give me some money they owe so i can order my last amp and then itíll be install time.

Finally got going on my install. Only getting an hour or two a night to work on it so itís taking some time. Got my amps mounted and most wiring done, just waiting on 1 more rca cable to get delivered and then install the DSR1 and itís tuning time.

I didnít get any pics of the speakers but they just go into the pods and then the pods bolt right back to the fairing bracket. What part of the fitment are you having trouble seeing?
