I would agree with Mike. I had a buddy that added just one subwoofer in one of his bags and it sounded off until he added one in the other also. I may be selling my prvís soon as Iím probably going to seal my bags and go with subwoofers.

Another thing i might add is i can still stuff a lot of stuff around my 10s. I lost some bag space not nearly as much as i thought.

So.. Back to my original idea... What I really want is low bass, not mid. I'm thinking I can get plenty of mods to highs from my front speakers to satisfy me. I'm thinking I really need bass. Filtering a 10" subwoofer and enclosing around it properly should get me what I'm looking for. Having only one sub wouldn't be an issue as the human ear doesn't detect the direction of subwoofer frequencies very well. Never looked into what it'll take to enclose a portion of a bag however.

Do you have tour-pak? Build the subbox in it.

Are looking to build a parking lot pimp or something you are going to enjoy on the road? You will loose all of that bass once you get past 40 MPH. Deep bass is a loosing battle on a bike that is intended to be ridden.

I would suggest going with a mid-bass driver. I am currently running 2-10'' prv mid bass driver 1 in each bag. I can tell you I get compliments all the time they have that deeper bass you making looking for. I have friends who are running dual 6x9's in each bag and the 10's hit harder than 4-6x9's. I am also running 2-6.5's in the front fairing along with a set of hertz hornz in the gauge pods powered by a hertz 1000k amp but looking to add a dsp of some sort.

We cruise a lot in town. Never stop and just listen to music though, lol. (we do that on the beach with a 15" sub). I know I'll lose the thump at higher speeds (can't really expect a high quality experience when cruising at 70) but would like to have some thump at 30. I think after talking to PRV, I will. Try their mid/bass driver and play with the filtering. No tour pack, not a fan. Thx guys

I've build it. This Kicker CRT speaker works good in small boxes. I did few subs already, different tour-pak sizes. To get the bass go outside the box you have to cut big holes or drill couple hundred of small holes in tour-pak (depends what type of tor0pak and mounting bracket you have)

Here is another one for big tour-pak
