Is anyone running a 5x7 speaker in thier fairing? I see that Hog Tunes offers a bolt in replacement for the stock 5-1/4". I currently run a Hog Tunes speakers and amp. Wanting to know if anyone has tried thier 5x7 or anyone elses 5x7 speakers.

In all of the installs I perform, I install the 6.5" speakers with the proper adapters and I have yet to have any issues

I am running those Hog Tunes in mine and like them. Better than the stockers without question, plus they were really good to deal with for me.

Carisma care to give your opinion of 5x7 vs 6.5s?

A 6.5" speaker will have slightly less bass only noticed by the audiophile but it will sound better than the 5 by 7 because sound travels in round waves, if you have a amp they both will sound good. The only issue is the size of the hole in the fiaring that we are trying to send all the sound thru some canceling happens so its really up to the person
