J&M 7.25" speakers in a set of factory lowers ??

Is this possible, or am I dreaming ?? I may have the opportunity to
pick up a set of second hand 7.25" J&M's...and am considering buying
a set of lowers if these will fit.

Thanks

Terry

I just read someplace (maybe on here) that J&M is releasing 7.25s in boxes for lowers in March.

I thought I had heard this also, googled and found this from JMJohn a sponsor on HD Forum:

J&M Corporation will release in about 3 months, injection molded inner shells to fit the later model Harley lowers, similar to what Harley is now offering, but designed to hold J&M's massive 7.25" speakers, (as compared to Harley’s 6.5’s) with grill mounted tweeter and midrange,, to match the look of our current fairing speaker grills ,,,,,,

We will also offer specially designed LED light rings to be sandwiched between our new lower grill and the speaker, in the lowers position, to give a similar look to the speaker lights, used on our 7.25" fairing speaker kits ,,,,,, ((see http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....RHD-FS50&PF=43 ))) ,,,

We currently offer our 5.25” lowers speaker kit, with grill mounted tweeter & midrange for the lowers position, for $199.99 complete ,,,,,,, (((see

Yeah, Neano62 posted a video he found on youtube. John from J&M had 2 pairs, one in stock place and one set in the lowers on a 2011 Street Glide with their new 500 watt amp. That sucker rocked!! Thats what its called to, the set anyways,. its called the Rokker if I remember right.

I'm considering the 500W amp, but it doesn't appear on the J&M site anywhere; not at least where I can find it. I'd like to install fairing lower speakers before my Alaska trip, but I want real RMS power, not some subjective peak wattage estimate. The J&M 250W amp is listed at 250W RMS. I'm wondering about the 500W.

I replaced my stock speakers with a set of these last spring....
I now have a chance to pick up a second pair of speakers, and
was also contemplating buying a set of lowers.

My reasoning being; 1) to cut down on the amount of wind coming up
beside the gas tank, and 2) someplace to put the second set
of speakers.

I'm in contact with a member on the HDF, as he's not happy with the
J&M's.....and I have first dibs if he's selling them.

Maybe a call or email to J&M is in order.........

Thanks for the info

Terry

Won't be for sale till March or April. Still in production or preproduction John said. I emailed him a while back about it.

We just had the Bike show at Jacob Javitts,in New York this past weekend. Saw and heard the 500 watt setup on a electra glide at the [email protected] Booth. 2 speakers in the fairing and 2 in the lowers. It sounded fantastic blew me away.. Spoke to Brian at the show and he said coming out in March, still no price and can't Pre-Order. But according to Brian you have to use 4 speakers with this amp. I was looking for a 2 speaker setup for my 2010 RGC.. So i just ordered the 250 Watt amp and the 7.25 speakers. Haven't recieved it yet I will keep you posted. You Tube has videos of both systems where you can hear the sound .
